Wow, what a drive! After arriving in Prince Rupert at Midnight Tuesday,
I spent the night at the Anchor Inn. Went for a walk first thing in the morning
and came across three deer grazing through town. Silly me, I didn't have my camera.
After a good breakfast, shower and shave I was on my way at 10AM. My legs were
still wobbly from the boat ride and my head was a little groggy but before long I
was enjoying the familiar beauty of BC. This was my third time driving through.
I arrived at Prince George early enough that I decided to keep going and I spent the night in Quesnal, just north of Cottonwood. Day 2 |

Fraser
River runs along the highway for many miles.

![]() This hanging glacier can be viewed from a rest stop a couple hours out of Prince Rupert. The trees in the foreground have grown quite a bit since I was last here in 1994, preventing a broader view of the valley below. Still, an impressive site. |
